This week in Literacy we have been learning about Aesop’s fables. The children have learnt about morals and what the lessons that different fables can teach us. They have been sequencing the events from ‘The ant and the grasshopper’ and answering comprehension questions to check their understanding. They have also researched tortoises after reading ‘The hare and the tortoise’ to created fact files and shape poems.

In Numeracy this week Class 7 have continued looking at patterns. They have been continuing and creating repeating patterns using paint, colouring and Lego. Some children have been looking at number patterns in the 2, 3, 4, 5 and 10 times tables.

The children have enjoyed challenging themselves this week to see who can tie their own shoelaces! They have been learning how to tie their own shoelaces and teaching one another.
